If there is a desire for more songs, we can arrange medleys with several songs in each section.

Shape of proceedings

We arrange entertainment between each of the courses, and during desert and coffee, with each segment of entertainment representing one significant Nobel Prize. These are selected by the client, who may want to focus on some specific area - for instance, Nobel Prize winners from one specific country, or within one scientific area.

Each entertainment section begins with a short presentation (2-3 minutes) about the specific prize, fleshed out with some background about that era and finally a popular hit song from that time.

When it comes to the 1980s and 90s, major sport events will be mentioned, as well as issues of the day which will be familiar to everyone. After all, guests naturally will have their own memories from that time.

Basic ingredients

  • A dynamic Master of Ceremonies to lead proceedings.
  • A good and flexible band.
  • A stylish vocalist, who as well as singing the hit songs from the different eras will even change outfits to fit the eras!
  • A good sound system and experienced technician.
  • Tasteful lighting design.

Possible additions

  • Dancers.
  • One or two more singers.
  • A bigger band with brass section.
  • Big screens with pictures and films from the various periods.
  • Trumpet players in the courtyard, for an impressive welcome.

An idea of the structure

  • Background music during cocktails.
  • One section of entertainment between starter and main course.
  • One or two sections between main course and dessert.
  • Two sections during desert.
  • One or two sections between desert and coffee.
  • Two or three sections during coffee.

If the guests want to dance after the dinner, our band and vocalist (or vocalists) will continue with two dancing sets and a variety of music. We will propose a song selection which you can adjust according to your wishes.
