Carl Michael Bellman

Our Bellman entertainment programme puts the emphasis on Carl Michael Bellman, an elegant poet and artist from 1770s Stockholm society who is now renowned for a most unique style.

An ensemble from The Swedish Voices Chamber Choir accompany well-known opera and folk musicians who play the parts of Bellman and his fictional muse, all in period costume.

Bellman, his companions and his works are introduced by a story-teller. And incidentally, the story can be told in one of three languages: Swedish, German or English.

This themed evening brings both Bellman and his era to life in stunning style.
